I don’t know if I am capable of stringing together sentences that would properly convey how I feel about this book, so here are a list of adjectives I wholeheartedly believe apply: Kenean and salama relationship was so beautiful and adorable and heartwarming. So pure so innocent <3 I loved their banter so much. How the smallest touch between them made my heart melt.
I finally catch sight of my home and my chest expands. It’s not the one I once shared with my family; it’s the one Layla gave me after a bomb fell on my own. Without her, I’d be out on the streets. To her friends, Zoulfa Katouh is known as the "lemon witch" - a nod to her obsession with the citrus fruit and the deeper symbolism it carries.
