About this deal
Pokémon Crystal Version [d] is a third version after Pokémon Gold and Silver, developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Color. It was released in Japan on December 14, 2000, North America on July 29, 2001, and in Europe on November 2, 2001. [45] The plot and gameplay of Crystal is largely the same as in Gold and Silver, although it includes several new features. Mystery Gift can be performed with other Virtual Console copies of Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal using the Nintendo 3DS system's infrared port. Unlike other link features, the user interface remains unchanged from the original games. When it debuted on the Game Boy Color, Pokémon Crystal Version introduced many new and exciting elements to the Pokémon franchise. An expanded version of Pokémon Gold Version and Pokémon Silver Version, it was the first Pokémon game to allow players to choose between a male or female playable character, as well as being the first game to introduce animations during Pokémon battles.

Crystal is largely an enhancement of the content and gameplay of Gold and Silver, with most additional features providing minor cosmetic or gameplay improvements. The visual presentation of Crystal was enhanced through the animation of Pokémon sprites when first encountered in battle, the inclusion of signposts appearing on the screen when entering a new area, and a range of minor graphical enhancements to various locations in the game. [1] A major cosmetic change included the ability to select one of two player characters, including the addition of Kris, a female trainer, with a unique sprite. [2] A major addition to gameplay was the inclusion of the 'Battle Tower', a stadium that allows players to enter a Battle Room and challenge a succession of trainers with Pokémon of a customizable level ceiling. [2] The following games are also worth playing. They either barely missed our top list or are uncompleted. Not to get too pedantic, but Pokemon Gold/Silver are actually Gameboy games that can be played in color on the GBC. So they're kinda hybridish? Not sure it's a big deal, but they are technically GB games. This is a decent list. The only glaring omission for me is Motocross Maniacs 2 - genuinely one of the most addicting games I've ever played.

Just like in the Japanese Pokémon Blue and all releases of Pokémon Yellow, changes are made to available wild Pokémon: Golden Rod Sale Bonanza: Some weekends there are sales on the newly added rooftop area of the Goldenrod Department Store. Camper Todd will tell you about it if you have him on your Pokegear. Players could leave a Pokémon and a request for the Pokémon species that it be traded for at the Pokémon Communication Center's Trade Corner. A player could also view Pokémon up for trade from other players, and trade with them. This is similar to the current Global Trade System of the Generation IV and later games.

I absolutely love GB and GBC games though, and I would throw myself at compilations of the library's very best. You meet her a couple of times, she tells you about wanting to be reborn a bird, and then you're gone. You don't remotely spend enough time with the cast of characters to form any sort of believable bond. The Move Tutor is introduced, located in Goldenrod Game Corner, and can teach Flamethrower, Ice Beam or Thunderbolt.
