Krytox 205 g0 Switch Lubricant
About this deal
When in doubt, or if the budget is tight, or if it’s just more readily available, the xx4 viscosity is a good overall choice. Also keep in mind, how much you apply, and where you apply can greatly affect the final feeling too. Which brings us to our next point… How do I use these dang lubes? The thing to remember is that evenness is the name of the game when lubricating your switches with 205 grade 0. It's always easier to add lube than to remove lube, so don't hesitate to experiment with different amounts of 205g0 on a few of your switches to find out what you like best. Once you've found out, rinse and repeat, consistently. Tips on Using Krytox 205 Grade 0 effectively
The 10x range are oils and then 20x range are all greases. The most common greases and oils used in our community seem to be 104, 106, 203, 204, and 205. You will often see, especially 205, with a g0 on the end. This stands for Grade 0 which changes the consistency of the grease. Grade 0 being quite a smooth consistency and the higher grades becoming more like a peanut butter consistency. Don’t assume, but most vendors sell 205g0. If they don’t specify, then ask, but you probably want Grade 0. Okay, so which one should I use? The Krytox™ GPL 2EX lubricants are formulated using unique anti-rust additives. This grease is similar to Krytox™ GPL 22X series greases, but contains a non-nitrite anti-corrosion additive.GPL 205 Grade 0 is a military-grade high-viscosity lubricating grease. Perfect for stabilizers, linear switches, and high-tactility switches.
Most of these lubricants are pretty specialized. They were not designed for the keyboard community but we’ve adapted them to our needs. This means they are generally harder to find than your run of the mill Superlube or other household lubricants. This is slowly changing however, with more shops starting to sell moderately portioned lubricants in varying viscosities and even some specialized blends created within our community that are performing quite well! Different Krytox™ oils have specific properties that make them well-suited for the demands of particular industries or environments. The family of Krytox™ oils includes: Lubricant can not be cleaned with soap and water and is resistant to many solvents. Although the lubricant is chemically stable and non-hazardous please wear gloves and place a protective layer of drop-plastic below any working surface. Spills are difficult to clean, and the lubricant will transfer from an operators hands to any surface they may touch. Please clean up any accidents with a microfiber cloth.

If you’re using grease on something like a Tealio or Gateron linear, apply very, very lightly, almost like you’re dry brushing it on. Independently tested and confirmed for LOX and GOX use by major oxygen manufacturers and test authorities, including BAM.
In short, Krytox 205g0 is a white-colored grease that is semi-viscous, remains stable and keeps its integrity for a long time, is not harmful if you swallow it--don't do it, it tastes awful--and is non-conductive. What Krytox 205g0 is Used For I heard about very popular one called Krytox. The most talked about are Krytox GPL 205g0, GPL 205g2 and GPL 105g0. So what do these grades mean and which one is the best for linears? What are your recommendations? The feel of this switch is quite smooth throughout of course due to the lube job, but as someone who prefers double-stage springs, sometimes I did feel that the switch felt a little bit slower than I would have wanted, but unfortunately, that is just the nature of single-stage springs. I would also like to point out that while the lube job is very consistent across all my switches, some might say that there is too much lube making it feel a bit mushy compared to other switches that you might have lubed yourself. If you aren’t a fan of the lube job, it could be quite a hassle to have to clean off each switch and lube them yourself, so I would have also liked to have seen a dry version of the Moon V2s sold for those who want to do it themselves. Not consistent, sluggish and will probably gum up after a while. You get more variety with Krytox as well Switch lubricating can sound scary but in reality is quite simple and makes a huge difference in both feel and sound!
