About this deal

Lovely book to have and hold, excellent photos, unfortunately too much info, and difficult to hold. A very good book for reference. eg dipping into. Jenna Hope says, "The Fast 800 diet begins with a very low-calorie diet which can pose a risk of nutritional deficiencies and can leave you feeling hungry. Additionally, it can contribute to a poor relationship with food as individuals can feel deprived. Deprivation can lead to a binge/restrict eating cycle which can have long-term negative effects." Weight loss that is induced purely by calorie restrictions has been shown to lead to a reduction in lean muscle mass (2). This, coupled with the fact that at around age 30 we start losing as much as 3 to 5 percent of lean muscle mass per year thanks to aging (3), highlights the importance of resistance training. This type of training will help maintain and increase your muscle mass and ensure that you are losing fat and not muscle.

People who are on ‘flozin’ medication (known as SGLT2 inhibitors, taken to reduce blood sugars, such as Dapaglifozin of Canagliflozin). This is to avoid the rare complication and potentially dangerous condition called euglycaemic diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), where despite having normal or only mildly raised ketones the medication can mask a serious complication of diabetes requiring urgent attention

After completing your initial assessment, you will be allocated one of our exercise levels, beginner, intermediate or advanced, and guided through weekly exercise plans consisting of HIIT, resistance workouts and stretching sessions. Scatter 25g flaked almonds and 25g raisins on top of the melted chocolate. Leave to set for 2-3 hours. Our brand new keto plans have been developed for those who have a lot of weight to lose, and are ready and committed to make changes. People who are pre-diabetic or have type 2 diabetes could follow these plans (monitored by a GP) to improve their insulin sensitivity. A rapid weight loss plan, with typical weight loss of around 10kg in 12 weeks, is a proven way to reverse, and prevent the onset of, type 2 diabetes. According to founder Dr Michael Mosle y, those who closely follow the Fast 800 plan could see themselves lose up to 11lb in two weeks by monitoring their daily calorie intake. Alongside the 16:8 diet, it's been praised as one of the diets that work fast, and some people choose to try it because they find fasting the most effective way to lose weight.

The DIAMOND Study performed by Oxford University and Dr Clare Bailey looked at the feasibility of using an 800 calorie, low-carb, med-style diet as a treatment for people with type 2 diabetes. HIIT has been shown to be a time efficient and effective way to reduce visceral fat (1); research recognises that combining a low-carb diet and HIIT has been suggested to be more effective at targeting visceral fat than doing either one alone.Serve topped with a sprinkling of cheddar (75g in total) and generous spoonfuls of full-fat Greek yogurt. May help manage type 2 diabetes: Research in recent years has found the keto diet to be effective for those with type 2 diabetes to help reduce central obesity, manage their blood sugar levels , reduce the need for insulin and potentially reverse the condition.[11] One study in people with type 2 diabetes found that carbohydrate-restriction had such a dramatically positive effect on glycemic parameters that they are campaigning for it to be implemented instead of medication.[12] Another study found that 95% of people with type 2 diabetes had reduced or eliminated their glucose-lowering medication within six months.[13]
