If your symptoms haven't improved after seven days of using Beconase hayfever ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist Beconase is a nasal spray intended for the relief of hayfever symptoms in adults (18 and over ) which contains 50 micrograms of the active ingredient beclometasone dipropionate per 100 mg spray.If you bought beclomethasone nasal spray, once your symptoms are under control, you can use your nasal spray less often. Apply 1 to 2 sprays into each nostril, 2 to 3 times a day (works up to 6 hours). Children of 12 years and below should use Becodefence Kids and only under adult supervision. Becodefence has thixotropic properties, which when shaken turns the original gel-like consistency into a fine fluid that can be sprayed easily up in the nose and reaches a broad inner surface of the nasal cavity, where it immediately resettles as a stable, impermeable barrier. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/ tongue/throat), severe dizziness, wheezing/ trouble breathing.The dose for adults aged 18 years and over is two sprays into each nostril twice a day (morning and evening). Once your symptoms are under control you should reduce your dose to one spray in each nostril twice a day. You should always use the lowest dose necessary to relieve your symptoms. If you're using a new bottle, it may not work first time. Pump the spray a few times until a fine mist comes out. You'll also need to do this if you have not used the bottle for a few days.
